The Time Is Now
People sometimes sigh for days gone by, saying wistfully, "Ah, those were the days!"
In retrospect the past may seem brighter than the present, but it is perhaps salutary to reflect that now is the time we may at some future date be tempted to look back on and say, with a sigh, "Ah, those were the days!"
Time tends to soften or obliterate the trials and sorrows of the past, and the human mind is prone to believe that there was more good available then than now.
