It is with much gratitude that I share my first healing in Christian Science
It is with much gratitude that I share my first healing in Christian Science.
When I was two years old I had a leg injury which resulted in a serious infection of the bone. While I was growing up, doctors operated several times, but they could not correct the injury. I suffered much pain and did not lead a normal child's life. By the time I was seventeen years old, I couldn't walk and spent my days in bed. The doctors said my leg would probably have to be amputated or the infection would spread.
One of the neighbors had a teen-age girl who came to visit me. When I told her about my leg, and how I was waiting to get strong enough to have another operation, she said, "You don't have to have an operation to help your leg. Christian Science can heal you." Through her mother I learned of Christian Science practitioners and wrote to one in a nearby city asking for help.
