As I recall the blessings of the past twenty-five years, I can truthfully say that the day I found Christian Science was one of the happiest of my life. Prior to that time, a severe sinus condition had necessitated frequent medical treatment, and my vision had been impaired to the point where eyeglasses were needed for my work and study.

When it was first presented to me, I joyously read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for several hours. The next day, while I was studying the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly in a branch church Reading Room, I realized with childlike simplicity that my real vision is spiritual and must be perfect, since it was a gift from God. The glasses were never worn again, nor did I feel the need for them. All medical help regarding the sinus condition was also immediately dispensed with. The healing of the sinus came soon after, for I had unreservedly accepted the premises upon which Mrs. Eddy founded this wonderful, provable religion.

There followed many healings through scientific prayer. Growth in spiritual understanding has been steady and proportionate to my gratitude and willingness to serve the Cause of Christian Science. Church membership opened the way for class instruction, and this led to a marriage which has blessed me and my husband through the years. I was enabled to complete undergraduate and graduate study, which at one time seemed impossible. Opportunities for work of increasing usefulness and expanding scope have been provided, and the purchase of a home and all provisions for it have been the result of prayerful work in Science.
