Freedom, God's Gift to Man
In much of the daily news there seems to be such evidence of lack of justice that we might ask: How can injustice continue so long? But this plea is in itself an indication that justice is natural and normal.
In Genesis we read this statement concerning creation: "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." Gen. 1:31; Through the teachings of Christian Science mankind is learning that the universe, including man, is spiritual and good. It is upon this basis that proofs of God's justice and love take place in Christian Science.
False, material concepts have so obscured the spiritual truth of creation that there seems to be convincing evidence that this record of the first chapter of the Bible is not true. False concepts of God and creation constitute the "mist" that is mentioned in the second chapter, where we read: "But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground." 2:6, 7;
