Higher Law to the Rescue

Christian Science brings to light the practical power of God's law. It can give to human law vitality and higher purpose. It never says to a citizen: "You have a reasonable case. How much justice can you afford?"

Yet for centuries this situation has prevailed under existing legal systems. Many at odds with the law have been able to find attorneys who could gain their relief through legal technicalities or loopholes in the law. Also many innocent people in times past, trapped by a situation, have been unable to afford legal counsel.

But the higher law of God is above all deals and compromises. And it does not justify wrongdoing. We must acknowledge and obey its higher, more accurate justice if we would come under its healing power and protection.
