My favorite Bible verse
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”Ex. 20:3.
Many times the first commandment has helped me. It has helped me in cases like a stomachache or when something else seems to be claiming power. All you need to know is that God is good, omnipotent, and as the first commandment says, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” So you know that nothing bad could be stronger than God.
This same truth can be used anytime, anyplace, if you really understand it.
