The testimonies in the periodicals have been a great help to me in learning to use Christian Science. In gratitude I would like to share my experience.

In 1949, my husband, my two daughters, and I were under medical care. My husband was told he had consumption in a very advanced stage. Our family doctor told me that I could not expect him to go back to regular employment, in fact, that he was afraid for his life. In that very dark hour Christian Science was presented to my husband. A copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy was given him. He read the book from cover to cover and during this reading was instantaneously healed. And a month later, with our doctor's approval, who referred to him from that time on as his miracle patient, he was back at work.

About ten years later, because compulsory X rays were required at his place of employment, we had another testing time. My husband was told he had scars that must be explored. In obedience to our state laws each member of the family was X-rayed, and all were given a clean bill of health, including my husband, who had to stay out of work and submit to various tests for a long period of time before he was released to go back to work. He never missed a day because of ill health after that experience. He has a letter corroborating this fact. At that time he joined The Mother Church and a branch church and became an active member.
