I am very thankful that through the study of Christian Science I am learning to trust God's unerring direction more. Mrs. Eddy tells us in her Miscellaneous Writings (p. 117), "Be sure that God directs your way; then, hasten to follow under every circumstance." This counsel, and many other statements of truth I had studied in the Bible and in her writings, enabled me to find a lost boy.
The search for the child had been going on for several hours by many friends, neighbors, and a large sheriff's posse. But all this searching proved fruitless and disheartening. Everyone became more and more anxious.
When I was informed of the circumstances, I at once felt impelled to help. After work that evening my wife and daughter and I drove to where the search was in progress. En route to the scene we were quietly praying and affirming that God is the all-knowing divine Mind, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. I had a calm feeling that the boy was safe.
