I would like to express gratitude for all the beautiful healings we have had through the application of Christian Science.

Many years ago when I was a child, before my family were interested in Christian Science, I became ill quite suddenly while in school. I was sent to the nurse, who sent me home with a note to my parents to get me to a doctor immediately. My parents took me to several doctors, and they all said that they were sorry but there was nothing that they could do to help. The last doctor said that the kindest thing to do would be to put me in the hospital and administer drugs that would help ease the pain.

He wrote a letter of admittance to a hospital, and my mother, father, aunt, and I started for the hospital by taxicab. My mother, instead of asking the driver to take us to the hospital, suddenly remembered that many years earlier a friend in another state had told her of Christian Science. Not until then had she remembered it. She asked the driver to take us to a Christian Science Reading Room. After we had arrived there and asked for help, a kind Christian Scientist took us in her car to the office of a Christian Science practitioner. My family was asked to wait in the outer office, and he took me inside with him.
