Words of Current Interest
The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read in Christian Science churches on June 15, 1969.
They shall not be ashamed in the evil time (Ps. 37:19)
The verb here translated "ashamed" can also mean "confounded" or "disappointed," renderings preferred by some scholars because they appear to be more suited to the context. Moffatt renders the passage positively: "In a calamity they keep their share."
