OPERATIVE TRUTH
Truth is a force,
Not a static statement.
But an active rule,
With no abatement
Of its ever-operative course;
Which has within itself
All instrumentality,
So that it makes full impact on the lie—
The false belief of matter's entity.
Truth is a tower
Whose strength and potency
Insist on driving out mortality;
Knowing itself a power
Whose thrusting force
Ejects false evidence, which has no source;
And clearly issues the divine decree
"Not guilty," for the truth has made man free.
