Over sixty years ago, when I was...
Over sixty years ago, when I was twelve years of age, I was privileged to be enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School.
From babyhood I had suffered from periodic sick headaches and an aggravating cough, which physicians had told my mother might develop into something serious. When I found out that I could be healed by learning about God as taught in Christian Science, I became a most ardent pupil.
At the time we did not have Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy in the home, for my mother was just getting interested in reading a neighbor's Sentinels. My Sunday School teacher, rioting my earnestness, brought me from her visit to Boston in 1906, on the occasion of the dedication of the extension of The Mother Church, a leather-bound bound Science and Health for my very own. How I loved and prized that book!
