Strangers and foreigners (Eph. 2:19)
Xenoi (strangers) was the Greek word generally used to describe foreigners, strangers, or aliens. Paroikoi (foreigners) had more specific reference to those who, while living in a foreign country, were not citizens of it. Hence they had the status of resident aliens.
