[The speaker is Robert Peel, a Christian Scientist. The questioner is Robert McKinnon, an interested inquirer.]
Speaker: I think the main point that emerged from our discussion last time was that there's a great deal more to the real world than the mere outward appearance of things—that in order for action to be really meaningful, we have to break through appearances to those spiritual qualities which constitute man's true nature, and which are the source of meaningful, purposeful, healing action. And that's really the basis for involvement.
Questioner: What would you define as meaningful involvement?
