Of the making of books there is no end. Nor, it seems, is there any end of the making of new versions of the Bible. They come at every sort of price, from the economy pocket version to magnificent tomes needing a large lectern to hold them.

It is a simple commercial fact that all these Bibles could not be produced if they were not paid for. ... It is an equally simple commercial fact that people do not pay for things they do not want.
