Before I became a Christian Scientist, my health was extremely poor and my outlook on life was very dark. This has been completely reversed. Through the study of this religion my life is one of joy and gratitude, and I am a healthy and happy individual.

For many years I had suffered from what had been diagnosed as a degenerate disk, as well as a breathing problem resulting in severe muscular aches. Regular medical treatment failed to relieve these conditions or the migraine that accompanied them. Surgery had been recommended for the back problem.

Although I owned a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was not a conscientious student. Yet I knew intuitively that God heals. At the age of four I was healed of a severe case of polio. It was the memory of this healing that turned me wholeheartedly to God. I knew I could be healed again.
