A High School Student Writes

Love Need Not Be Limited

Christian Science can be a successful answer to the problem of right companionship. Mrs. Eddy included in Science and Health an entire chapter on the subject of marriage. In it she discusses not only the issues surrounding a sound, lasting marriage but also many points that are helpful to young people before marriage.

For example, she uses the word "companionship," not marriage, when she writes, "Kindred tastes, motives, and aspirations are necessary to the formation of a happy and permanent companionship." Science and Health, p. 60; "Kindred tastes, motives, and aspirations" are what we must look for in friends of our own sex as well as in the opposite.

Studying this chapter entitled "Marriage" gives one a clear understanding that true love reflects the qualities of divine Love.
