Over forty years ago I took up the study of Christian Science. It has been my only physician, my comfort, and my guide throughout the years.

A quick healing I had was that of a form of eczema. My hands, arms, and face were affected; and my eyes were swollen shut. I worked prayerfully to the best of my understanding at that time but finally had to call a practitioner for help. As he talked to me over the telephone, voicing many comforting truths and assuring me of God's tender care for His children, I saw the symptoms disappear entirely from my arms and hands. In about two hours my face also was normal. This healing greatly impressed my family and friends and is an inspiration to me whenever I think of it.

Another healing took five years to accomplish. The difficulty was a serious functional disorder. Much wrong thinking had to be corrected and false patterns of thought changed. During this trying period three loved ones passed on in rapid succession, and grief seemed overwhelming. But through the faithful support of a consecrated Christian Scientist and my determination to break a wrong mental outlook, I won my freedom at last.
