AWARENESS
Jesus stood alone in what he knew;
At peace, he prayed the whole night through:
But I in restless doubt am tossed;
The glory of the day seems lost.
When the disciples toiled in rowing,
Did they, like me, despair of knowing
The Christ, Truth? Will it pass me by?
One glimpse enough. "Fear not, it is I."
O blessed light, O glorious morn
For peace, and calm, and joy reborn.
In Christly consciousness of me.
How could I live apart from Thee?
Jessie R. Richardson
