A College Student Writes

Writing Successful Term Papers

At one time or another college students have to prepare term papers. As most students know, successful papers depend upon one's research, knowledge, organization, and writing. Christian Science can show one the way to prepare spiritually for the work so that it may be done in an intelligent, orderly, and expeditious manner.

In the Bible we read: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov. 3:5, 6; What better way for the college student to prepare himself spiritually than by wholeheartedly acknowledging God as the only Mind and the true source of wisdom, intelligence, ability, and guidance! If the student strives for an increased spiritual understanding of man's divine relationship to God, he will be spiritually prepared for his school-work.

Certainly a study of the teachings of Christian Science reveals that man is the image and likeness of God, Spirit. Should the student be tempted to believe that he must depend upon human intellect or ability to research, understand, and assemble his work, he has only to reject this false belief and replace it with the truth of being that since man is the spiritual reflection of God, divine Mind, he is always God-directed and God-governed.
