Letting God Govern

Those unacquainted with the true nature of God might wonder why He appears to give such inspiration and power to some persons and not to others. Why, for example, were the prophets of Old Testament times and Christ Jesus and his disciples of New Testament times especially able to bring the power of God to bear on the problems of their day with such satisfactory results?

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, found the answer to this question and devoted her life to making this answer clear and available so that troubled humanity could be healed and regenerated. Her writings indicate that one is able to express dominion over his human experience in the degree that he lets God govern him, and Christian Science explains what this means and how it is done. This Science brings God closer to human thought in the definition of God given in the Glossary of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy: "The great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit, Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence." Science and Health, p. 587;

The definition of "Christ reads as follows: The divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error." p. 583;
