When I was in my early teens, I was offered a book to read, which was Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It was a new idea to me that reading a book could heal physical illness; yet, without greatly understanding what I did read, the neuralgia from which I had been suffering disappeared completely.

In later years the study of this book convinced me that Christian Science is that same truth which Christ Jesus taught and used to heal sin, sickness, and death. I was immeasurably grateful to learn that the power to banish the ills of the flesh is available to all who understand and use the same spiritual laws of God that Jesus used. Science and Health is the textbook which reveals and explains these laws.

I am grateful for healings of influenza, headaches, the smoking habit, and other difficulties which stem from acceptance of the false evidence of physical being as the true state of man. I am grateful for continuing good health.
