MAN'S WORK

Who sketches distorted views of life—
picturing self in a role of strife,
driven by time, a ruthless master,
ever prodding men to pull faster
their load of responsibility?

Ah, they are works of mortality—
the liar, the bland-eyed falsifier!

Blot out caricatures! See God's outlining
of man in the business of light-shining!
God's portrayals, when understood,
show man His likeness—imaging good,
poised in holiness—perfect, free!

And—
Who could be an authority
higher than God on His perfect man—
the man He designed to fulfill His plan?
