I am very grateful for Christian Science and the changes it has made in my life. Through the study and application of this truth lost things have been found, money has been returned to me, the entire family has been protected when traveling and when enjoying various sports, my son has been healed of a skin disorder, and wisdom has been demonstrated in making decisions. Also, means have been provided for necessities.

My first healing in Science was that of a burn. A pressure cooker which I thought had been depressurized exploded, and the hot contents went all over my hand. My hand was badly burned and was painful. I went out into the garage to be by myself and prayed as best I knew how, declaring I was actually a spiritual idea of divine Mind and could not be burned. I did not see how I could ever clean up the mess which covered the stove or clean the kitchen, because it seemed impossible to put that hand into hot water.

I thought of the Bible account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men were not burned when cast into the furnace. In Daniel we read (3:27), "And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them."
