During the month of June in the year 1936, I made a visit to my brother in another town. I felt depressed, unhappy, embittered, and without hope or interest in life, for I had been receiving medical treatment for epilepsy for a period of five years without having any improvement in my health.
One day, while I was staying there, my sister-in-law brought me something to read. The moment I started reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I immediately knew that something good was going to happen. The more I read and thought, the more confident and full of hope I felt. I began again to thank God for His mercifulness.
The purpose of this testimony is to express my gratitude for my healing of epilepsy and for the healing and comfort I have received from the study and application of Christian Science over a period of thirty years. I know that the testimony will help someone to realize, as I have, the ever-present help of God. Now I am a new woman, healthy, strong, happy, full of hope and joy, and ever ready to recognize His wonderful goodness in having lifted me out of my dead life.
