The Allness of God Excludes Evil
"Thou [God] art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity," Hab. 1:13; declared the prophet Habakkuk. This fundamental truth is basic to all the teachings of Christian Science. As God, good, is All-in-all and the creator of all that has actual existence, there can be no evil for Him to behold.
Mrs. Eddy recognized that whatever God is cognizant of is a spiritual fact. Infinite Mind could not be aware of evil, the opposite of itself, for such recognition would nullify God's infinitude and constitute evil as a permanent fact.
If God, good, could behold sin, disease, or any other inharmony in the slightest degree, no power or invention, material or spiritual, could do anything to change or eliminate them. Mankind would then be eternally subject to these evils, and God's kingdom would contain within itself the seeds of its own destruction.
