RADIO PROGRAM NO. 251 - Learning from Adversity

Announcer: To many people life sometimes appears to be one difficulty after another. The individual who is beset with business and financial troubles, difficulties in human relationship, or illness and misfortune may feel there's not much else he can do except struggle to keep going.

Questioner: Many people are leading lives of quiet desperation. When someone is doing all that he can to keep his head above water, what more can he do?

Speaker: Everyone is faced with such situations in life. I certainly have experienced some of them myself, and they're an incentive to reach beyond one's own abilities— to reach out to God. Troubles can become stepping-stones. We can all learn from them, I've found at such times that my basic problem isn't what appears to be happening, but my thought about it.
