INVINCIBLE

Jerusalem, a city fair,Was focal point for one in prayer; With open window, unafraidOf mandates by conspirators made,Thrice daily did his prayers ariseTo God, omnipotent, all-wise.Although the king had set his seal,The man convicted made appeal;Although the Medes' and Persians' lawRevoked, no kingdom ever saw,His King invalidated "laws"And paralyzed fierce lions' jaws!

Unmoved by error's subtle scheme,Affrighted not by horror's scene,The man condemned emerged unscathed,For by his God was Daniel saved.Invincible, he staunchly stoodAdmitting naught in thought but good.Across the ages sounds his call :The unchanged God is All-in-all.No treachery, no beast of preyCan harm; He's just the same today!
