Nothing Real Can Be Lost
How wonderfully reassuring for all mankind is this statement of Mrs. Eddy's: "It is impossible that man should lose aught that is real, when God is all and eternally his." Science and Health, p. 302; Christian Science teaches that whatever is of God is good and that good is as indestructible and eternal as is God. It also teaches that man is the spiritual image and likeness of God. Then man is not a mortal, separated from God and at the mercy of material laws of sin, sickness, and death.
It follows that the centuries-old, mortal concept that matter is real, along with all errors of material sense, must be expunged from human consciousness and replaced with the truth that everything real exists in a state of spiritual perfection now. The discernment of this truth acts as a law of restoration in human affairs.
Jesus was the greatest demonstrator of spiritual law that the world has ever known. His spiritual senses beheld life instead of death, abundance instead of lack, and health in place of disease. His reversal of what the material senses beheld healed every type of discordant condition, thus proving that nothing real can be lost.
