Safe in the Ark

[Of special interest to children]

One of Molly's best friends was her cat, Peter. He was smartly dressed in sleek black and white, his ears were shaped like a Siamese cat's ears, and his jaunty tail had a crooked tip.

He was such fun! He knew how to open cupboard doors, and he played a sliding game in which he would take a run, then slide down a slippery passage until he crashed into the door at the end. Then he would pick himself up and repeat the performance!

When Molly read the Bible Lesson each morning from the Christian Science Quarterly, Peter would join in by sitting on the open Bible, which, for some catlike reason, he preferred to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. He had several healings when Molly prayed for him the way she was taught to do in the Christian Science Sunday School. One instantaneous healing was that of a bee sting inside his mouth. Remember that Jesus taught God's care for all living creatures when he said of the sparrows, "Not one of them is forgotten before God." Luke 12:6;
