In sincere gratitude for all the happiness I have found since I made Christian Science my way of life, I write this testimony. Though I was first acquainted with this religion in m teens and spent some years in the Sunday School, it was not till later that I began to me this marvelous Science to solve all my problems. As a young person I suffered from extreme self-consciousness. This trait was replaced by grace and love for others. I was extremely conscious of lack and limitation. These were replaced by peace and abundance. Fear was replaced by the consciousness of God's ever-present Love.

At one time the papers and radio were telling of a poliomyelitis epidemic in the area and describing the symptoms of this disease in detail, urging everyone to be on guard for the slightest sign of the ma!ad and to act immediately. Everyone was talking about it, and it was a time of great fear in the community. As a young mother I tried to know the truth when I was confronted with these suggestions, but one of the children began to manifest symptoms which were unmistakable, because they had been so often described to us.

At this point my fear began to mount, and in desperation I went to the telephone and called a Christian Science practitioner. I shall never forget the voice that answered my call or the effect the calm words had on my thinking. Over the telephone f heard: ''You will see that fear all go. Call me in the morning." In the morning I was able to report almost complete recovery. The following morning the healing was complete. The child was normal again. I know that the healing actually took place in my own consciousness; and I am most grateful.
