I shall always be grateful that my mother took up the study of Christian Science when I was a child and enrolled me in the Sunday School. From that time on, I had few of the so-called childhood illnesses, and those that appeared were quickly healed through Christian Science treatment. Since that time, the knowledge of God's omnipotence and omnipresence has been a source of strength and courage to meet the human need.
My husband and I had attended the Sunday School of a branch church together, so it was natural for us to join that church at an early age and to take part in its activities, which have brought many blessings into our experience and have established our home on a firm foundation. Our two daughters had the privilege of attending the Sunday School from the earliest possible age and have had many evidences of protection and healing.
When our younger daughter was just over a year old, a lump appeared on the back of her neck. One night her condition became alarming, and I called a practitioner. Her comforting assurance of the love of our Father-Mother God brought a sense of calmness, and the child was able to sleep. From then on, the lump caused no more trouble, diminished, and, within a short time, completely disappeared.
