Dedication services were held Sunday at First Church of Christ. Scientist, Winter Haven, at 11 a.m. and at 3:30 p.m.
Christian Science services began here in 1913, when several people met and started the organizing of [a Christian Science Society]. Two years later the Reading Room opened. The same year a lecture was given.... In 1924, [the society having conformed to] the requirements of The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, [for becoming a church, received recognition of its change of title].
