Since my last testimony appeared in the Sentinel some fifteen years...
Since my last testimony appeared in the Sentinel some fifteen years ago, I have been increasingly grateful for the healing power of Christian Science. I have also experienced much of its beneficent influence in protection and guidance.
One afternoon as I was getting ready to prepare dinner, a heavy glass dish I was handling broke. Part of it fell and cut my foot, while the other part cut my hand. The cuts were very deep, and there was much bleeding. I called my husband for prayerful help in Christian Science, which he instantly gave me. Almost immediately the bleeding stopped, and I was able to attend the Wednesday testimony meeting in a branch church that same evening.
The next day various suggestions presented themselves. One was that stitches might have to be taken, and another that there might be pieces of glass in the hand and foot. Both suggestions were immediately repudiated, and I was completely ready to trust God, knowing that His work is perfect and that since He is All-in-all, the only manifestation there can actually be is that of perfection and harmony.
