In her writings, Mary Baker Eddy clearly implies that the Bible is of foundational importance to Christian Science. The very first tenet of this religion is, "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as out sufficient guide to eternal Life" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 497).
In support of this tenet and the Scriptures, the Publishing Society has issued a new English pamphlet, "The Bible. It contains tour articles, reprinted from The Christian Science Journal, which should help the reader to increase his understanding and appreciation of the Bible. The pamphlet may be purchased for 20 cents a copy at any Christian Science Reading Room or ordered directly from The Christian Science Publishing Society, One Norway Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02115.
