Christian Science was offered to me by one of its students at a time when I suffered a great deal of distress and discomfort from an asthmatic condition for which doctors could only advise the constant use of drugs since, according to them, there was no real cure.
As a result of several talks with the above-mentioned Scientist I decided to commence the study of Christian Science mainly to be healed of asthma. But it soon became evident that this Science is the Word of God, so clearly described by Paul in his Epistle to the Hebrews when he said (4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
In my continued study, with the help and guidance of a practitioner, I began to assimilate this Word of God with the result that I took my stand for the truth of man as the image and likeness of God, as stated in the first chapter of Genesis and as taught in Christian Science. I abandoned the use of drugs and of other medical paraphernalia, and relying on God and His goodness I was blessed with healing.
