For many years I had been searching for some answer concerning God and life. I really did not know what life demanded of me. I had been good, as I now see it, to many people and had worked very hard; but still I could never find the answer to life's purpose. Then Christian Science was introduced to me by a practitioner, and I found that it was what I really had been looking for.

I was healed in one treatment of a long-standing case of gallbladder trouble which had been extreme. Through the practitioner's work it was uncovered that for many years there had been a great sense of bitterness in my thought concerning my life. With this uncovering, I began immediately to let go of the false sense of my identity.

I was healed right away. But it took me some time to realize that the physical body was not my real selfhood; that my real selfhood is spiritual. When I finally learned that God is my real Father and Mother and that I am His child, it made a great difference in my life. I had lost my human parents when I was a very young person and had always longed to have a home with a father and mother like other children.
