Carol Isn't Disappointed
[Of Special Interest to Juniors]
Carol and several of her girl friends decided to hold a dinner party just for their fathers.
After discussing it among themselves, they enlisted the assistance of their mothers, who agreed to help prepare the menu. The dinner would be held at three different homes which were all located on the same street. At the first home the girls planned to serve a salad and at the second, the main course; at the third home they planned to provide cookies and entertainment.
The next few days were spent in preparation. First, the girls made invitations of white construction paper on which they painted flowers dancing about in all directions. Then they made centerpieces for the tables. They found several tree branches and sank them into flower pots filled with gravel. Onto the tree branches they taped tissue paper flowers in varying hues of green, blue, and violet.
