When I was a young child, a cousin of my mother's told us of Christian Science, which was the religion of the people for whom she was working, and her accounts of healing filled us with awe. All through the years Science touched my life, but I did not begin studying it until I was a young woman.

At different times I had worked with two earnest students of Christian Science who let their light shine, and when my home was broken up, and I was greatly in need of the Comforter, not only mentally but physically, I began studying the Lesson-Sermons, set out in the Quarterly, and attending church services, It seemed as though I could not get enough of this wonderful truth. Discarding medicine was not a difficult task, and my joy knew no bounds when I was accepted as a church member.

I have had many healings through the years, including that of infection in one finger and instantaneous healings of colds and of influenza. In the latter instance a member of the office staff had to take me home, and while I talked to the practitioner on the telephone after I reached home, every vestige of the influenza left me. I called my employer, who was an earnest student of Christian Science, and he rejoiced with me in this healing. I returned to work the next morning completely well, much to the surprise of my co-workers.
