"Verities priceless"

The basic fact underlying the theology and practice of Christian Science is that Life is Spirit, neither in matter nor of it. The Bible tells us, and Christ Jesus proved, that God is Spirit and that man is His likeness. Therefore man is, not shall be, spiritual and perfect.

That only is man which manifests the nature of an infinitely good, wise, and perfect Mind. That which images forth the nature of God constitutes the priceless verities of existence. These verities include health, holiness, peace, joy, freedom, love, abundance, harmony. Any concept opposed to the omnipotence of Spirit, the omnipresence of Mind, the infinity of Life must be considered suppositional, unreal, and false. Anything unlike God is not man.

It is of grave importance that mankind demonstrate the ability to distinguish between man, who is God's likeness, and the race of Adam; to separate the sinful from the holy, matter and flesh from Spirit, the mortal from the immortal, the sickly from the healthy. If one is to eliminate the unhealthy, unlovely, and harmful elements of human existence, these material concepts must be rejected from thought, refused acceptance, and dismissed as powerless. The realities of spiritual being must be acknowledged as constituting the only presence and power.
