I wish to express my gratitude for the healing of what might have been called a stroke had it been medically diagnosed. For some time I did not recall a thing that took place. I had no use of my legs. I had difficulty swallowing. I could not dress myself or shave. I did not know any of the family.
A Christian Science practitioner was called. Mrs. Eddy's works and the Christian Science periodicals were read to me constantly. In three and a half weeks I was sitting on the edge of the bed, fully conscious, and then was able to go from room to room with the aid of a mechanical walker and could shave myself with a straightedged razor.
This was in January, 1965. During the summer I was able to do a little trimming of the shrubbery, paint the back steps, and take care of a few small repairs.
