One day I read in the Bible...
One day I read in the Bible (Ps. 43:3), "O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles." This text made a deep impression upon me; from that moment I prayed that God would show me the way to truth and light and that He would show me what truth and light are.
Then one day a friend visited me and told me that she had attended a Christian Science lecture. She added that I should go to a Christian Science church service. She had investigated many religions, but had never met so much love and kindness as when she attended the Christian Science lecture.
I followed her advice and attended a Wednesday testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist. That evening I shall never forget, for I realized that God had heard my prayer and had shown me the way to truth and light. With gladness and great enthusiasm I followed that way.
