Dissolving "the adamant of error"
One of the essentials in healing is to be flexible in our thought, that is, to be willing to respond to the Truth. A change of thought is necessary to a change in experience, and the readiness of the individual to respond to the healing Christ often determines the quickness of the healing. Some people yield slowly to the transforming Truth, and others with childlike eagerness respond instantly.
How can we prepare our thought to yield more readily? We can analyze what constitutes the resistance involved and then apply the proper antidotes.
There is a common erroneous belief that matter has intelligence, that it can resist the Truth or be a stubborn factor in the healing of disease. But our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has revealed the fact that matter is nothing more than material mentality. It is made up of false mental elements or qualities. Dissolving these false mental elements brings about the change that is necessary for healing.
