Gratitude for Christian Science...

Gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me over the years has prompted me to write this testimony. I have found that when the truth is applied to any situation in need of healing the outcome is always a victory on the side of God, good. The knowledge of the omnipotence of God and the unreality of discord can change the human picture to one in line with spiritual reality. Many times this has been proven not only in my own experience but in that of our children.

While serving as First Reader in a branch church, I became fearful, so much so that I was unable to get in or out of bed without assistance and had to be helped in dressing. I knew it was a mental state, an inferiority complex, that had plagued me for years. I continued to be in my place at church each week, having no difficulty while performing my duty.

With the help of a practitioner I was healed, and I have rejoiced many times since at this healing. Two verses in the Bible proved helpful at this time. They are (Jer. 1:8,9): "Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me. Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth."
