When I was a young boy, I...
When I was a young boy, I went to a Christian Science Sunday School every Sunday some thirty miles from my home. This was not an easy task because transportation was still somewhat difficult at that time. However, it helped me in my later years to realize that we have to bring progressive thoughts into our experience and make the effort to go forward.
While serving in the Armed Forces in World War II, I broke a bone in my foot across the arch during basic training. As a result of my application of the truths of Science, I was able to keep up my daily drilling and make the necessary marches without discomfort. Within several days the foot was completely healed.
I should like to tell of a particular healing which took place while I was in the Air Corps. I sustained an injury, and the doctors sent me to a special hospital for an operation, saying that I had a broken shoulder blade which was threatening to puncture my lung.
