RADIO PROGRAM No. 159 - Our Part in the Resurrection
INTERVIEWER: The glory of the resurrection morning nearly two thousand years ago lifted a little band of people out of deep sorrow into great joy. It transformed their lives. The joyful message of the resurrection has continued to speak to receptive hearts ever since. Every year the joy of Easter brings a warm glow to people's hearts. Christians everywhere renew their wonder at what happened on the resurrection morning. Yet, to some, the event seems very far removed from the complex problems of our day. Does the resurrection have practical meaning for us today? Can it really transform our lives as it did those of the early followers of Christ Jesus?
SPEAKER: It not only can but does. In Christian Science we accept the resurrection as historical fact and its promise as one of the most joyful messages contained in the Bible.
INTERVIEWER: Then in Christian Science you don't believe as some do that Jesus' appearance after the crucifixion was simply a vision?
