Upon my return to the United States from wartime Army service in Europe, a friend introduced Christian Science to me. As I studied, I was healed of the smoking habit, and in 1948 I became a member of The Mother Church.

While attending college on the GI bill of rights, I had many healings, two of which I should like to relate.

I was taking part in the annual mountain hike of students and professors, a delightful affair. When the time came to begin the descent of the very steep and very rocky path, we did not bunch too closely in order not to overrun anyone ahead of us.
