For many years my family and I have experienced healings in Christian Science. One healing in particular showed me very clearly the mental nature of Christian healing, and I remember it with deep gratitude to God.

There was a small growth on my face which was not at first noticeable to others, but it bothered me every time it presented itself to my attention. I was upset mentally by it. It grew larger; and a member of my family who was not a Christian Scientist mentioned it to me often and was alarmed about it.

A devoted practitioner was giving me treatment, and at every opportunity she reminded me of some words of Mrs. Eddy's on page 7 of "Unity of Good." After referring to her healing works, our Leader says, "Certain self-proved propositions pour into my waiting thought in connection with these experiences; and here is one such conviction: that an acknowledgment of the perfection of the infinite Unseen confers a power nothing else can."
