A High School Student Writes
Using Time to the Best Advantage
In times of great pressure it is often hard to overcome the erroneous thoughts that say one doesn't have enough time to stop and do prayerful work in Christian Science. Such thoughts came to a high school student as she studied for three big exams which came on successive days.
A sense of pressure seemed to build up during the first two exams that made study for the third extremely difficult. This worry and fear continued to build up until she felt that she could no longer stand it. There was time only for a quick skimming of about fifteen important chapters of chemistry, and error told her that if she took this time to spiritualize her thought, she wouldn't be able to finish the review.
For a while she let these fears keep her from working as she had been taught in a Christian Science Sunday School. But when she realized that she was not concentrating on her studies, she decided she had wasted precious time by not turning to God for help.
