For all that Christian Science...
For all that Christian Science has done for me and mine, I wish to express my gratitude.
Twelve years ago I was in such despair mentally and physically that I thought my life was over. Money problems were a constant source of anxiety, and my health was failing. The future looked black, and even my faith in God faltered. The doctor's treatment was doing nothing for me, so it seemed hopeless to continue going to him. I had no faith in the injections I was getting and the medicine I was taking. I became so nervous and fearful and full of pain that I thought any moment would be my last.
In my anguish I opened the Bible one day and read these beautiful words (Ps. 121:1, 2): "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." With the reading of those priceless words, the thought came, "Try Christian Science."
